South Bend man, 28, sentenced for weapons charge during drug trafficking

first_img WhatsApp IndianaLocalNews (“Court Gavel – Judge’s Gavel – Courtroom” by wp paarz, CC BY-SA 2.0) A South Bend man has been sentenced in federal court for possessing a firearm during a drug trafficking crime.Bradley O’Donnell, 28, of South Bend, was sentenced by United States District Court Judge Damon R. Leichty upon his plea of guilty to possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.O’Donnell will also serve 3 years of supervised release.According to court documents, on the night of March 28 into the morning of March 29, 2020, O’Donnell was distributing methamphetamine and had a loaded handgun with him while doing so.Police later found O’Donnell with 120 grams of methamphetamine and the handgun.O’Donnell has previously been convicted of three felony offenses.
